AC Project XM (1st 320 Ready/767 New Seat Pics)

Tue Jun 27, 2006 1:16 am

Hi All.

I was browsing AC Horizons and it seems Air Canada's first XM 320 was flown on a 2-hour test flight to check the systems out. They now say she's ready for re-rentry into service. Pics of this flight can be found here:

Also on the website are some new pics of the new lie-flat seats in Executive First. They appear to be in a 767 cabin. I'm not sure if this is just a mock-up or if it's actually on Fin 636. The article says it's from the filming of the new safety video. Somebody from AC help me out here? Anyway, here's the link to this article:

P.S. Keep an eye out for my detailed trip report next week on my vacation to Indy for the U.S. Grand Prix (AC Jazz).

i'm pretty sure that those seats are great, but looking at some of those photos, they don't look that confortable in they chairs, they could've done a better job at that, taking better picture  Big grin

NZFan...

Considering the nature of the picture... I don't think anyone would have big smiles, when you're doing a Safety Video! LOL!

"....YAY! Let's go down the slide...AGAIN!!!"

Thanks for the links  Smile

It looks like AC won't be installing new ceilings and overhead bins onto the 767's, a real shame, it makes the aircraft look so much nicer!
I can't realy complain, at least we are seeing new seating Big grin

BTW - Will their be new Y cabins in the 763's?

Are the 343/333's to get the new cabins?

I think they will. I don't think this is a finished new first class. A/C hasn't been in long enough for that. It's probably just a mock-up in the aircraft or in a studio..

Those might the best 76S interior pics I've seen so far, actually makes AC and the 767 seem like a viable option  wink

Looks good! What does the new economy class look like? Any other photos of AC's interior makeovers?

Yeah the 767-300s will get them, that photo is just a mock up, its just ment to show the seats, pay no attention to the overhead bins and such. The pics are probably on their cabin trainer that they use.

The pic of the international executive first class seating is not of an aircraft with the Air Canada makeover. I am fairly certain they announced the 763ER fleet will get new style overhead bins. Pics of the progress should be visible here.

The 767's are to be getting the 777 style cabins (ceiling, overhead bins etc)
You can't get there from here.
