BA's 737 And 757 Nose Cones.

Wed Jun 28, 2006 6:13 am

Is there a reason why on some their 737s and I think all of the their 757s there is a black ring around the nose.

Thanks in advance.

I understood that the black ring is a distinctive marking that allowed air traffic controllers to identify those BA aircraft operating into LHR and LGW that are equipped with an experimental microwave landing system.
