Last I heard on NPR in Michigan today that they will resume talks tomorrow(thursday) and both parties are trying to avoid a strike. The Union said they will give a two weeks notice to a strike or will not strike in the next two weeks, I dont remember which. The Union has offered up the 190million in concessions but its not what NW exactly wants...so we'll see how the talks go...NW also has not let its replace FAs "go" either...

-all of this is according to NPR Michigan Radio News

What replacement FA's are you talking about? As for negotiations, this current union has about a day and half of life left anyway. The next business day after the 30th is July 5th, and our NMB election results are on the 6th. It will be a whole new situation when our newly elected union takes over.

So what will happen if a new union comes in now? NW won't wait and start all over will they?

It won't be an issue about waiting. AFA will immediately jump in and get to work from day one. It certainly isn't like they are getting anywhere with PFAA now anyway. No substantial ground has been made.

AFA sent all of us surveys a month or so ago, to determine a negotiation strategy. They are in the starting blocks.
