Air Caraibes : A330-300X In Service

Fri Jun 30, 2006 5:02 am

Saw this morning at Orly the first Air Caraibes A330-300X (F-ORLY !!!) , operating a flight to PTP.

Both the A330-300X will be NOT addition to the fleet , but will replace both the A330-200s , meaning 2 A330-200s on the second hand market.

Do not know when the second 300X will arrive.

IIRC those were leased, but the A333s are owned ?
Exceptions confirm the rule.

Great aircraft, great reg and great colours Big grin

A shame they are not keeping the 332's, although they have always said the 333's were to replace the 332's right from when the 333's were ordered  Smile

Will be intresting who will take the 332's, I know one airline that would love them, LX  Smile

Does anyone know the reg of the 2nd 300X?

What config are the 330's in, does Eco feature PTV's?

No the reg of the second 300 is not yet known , neither the C/N.

One thing is sure , it couldn't be F-OPTP or F-OFDF , since according to the French law one reg can't be used twice.

As they only serve PTP , FDF and ORY , very difficult to have an idea of the 300's reg !!!!!!!!! Will see...........

In another way i do not believe both the 200s will go to LX , as the Swiss airline will get 2 ex LH machines , and seems not to be ready to add 2 more along this ex German airline machines.

Funny this morning at Orly , i saw the 3 Air Caraibes Airbusses parked each together.Great sight !!!!!!!!!

Really the 300 is a very nice looking airplane in Air Caraibes cs.
I think this is the first time a 300 is better looking than the 200 !!!!!!!

Why not ? In turn, they could give 2 A343s to LH.
Exceptions confirm the rule.

How about F-OSXM? I don't think that will happen, but one can dream right?

I wrote an article about Air Caraibes and have now bought the justplanes dvd. A great airline! How are these brandnew A333s financed by Air Caraibes? It sounds very expensive for such small islands to finance them all by themselves. Any idea?
