British Airways is selling off its 757's (many are
going to United Parcel Service) in an aircraft
buyback plan through Boeing. BA has ordered
up to 50 Airbus A320 family jets (including the
A319). These jets will also replace a number
of 737's in the fleet.

BA also has switched its remaining 747-400
orders to 777's as part of its strategy of
flying smaller widebodies. Many 767-300's
are also exiting the fleet and are headed
for Qantas Airways.

BA has sold 7 767-300ERs to Qantas. Also, 30 757-200s are being sold to Boeing, for conversion into Special Freighters. These 757-200SF aircraft, along with 14 procured elsewhere, are being sold to DHL, not UPS.

For new orders, BA continues to get 777s (45 ordered), A319s (39 ordered), A320s (20 ordered) and will eventually get the A318 (12 on order).

with 45 777s still on order, say goodbye to the 742s

And the 767s are only being leased to Qantas, not sold.
