Yes, the MD
-88's & the MD
-90's are both still in the fleet and I would not expect them to go anywhere in the near or medium future. Most of the 90's are based out of SLC
it seems with the 88's out of CVG
. However, I believe it is no secret that the 738's will be the long term backbone of DL
's domestic and short-haul International (Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean) fleet.
Frm what I understad from my cousin who is a DL
will be taking delivery of about 12-15 738's next year and of course the 732's will all be retired by the end of September I believe. There is no end in sight for the MadDogs though as they will continue to be a viable role for them in the DL
fleet. The big fleet changes would come after Bankruptcy when I think we could expect to see a major 777/787 order as well as E-170/190 order, all of which would be after BK exit. However, they may not wait on the 777 order as they need those NOW!
