Well actually I had two during the same vacation. On a 100 degree day in Charlotte the fully packed US Airways 737-400 which the air did not work finally pulled back from the gate and taxied to the runway bound for Orlando. As we raced down the runway a sudden release off the throddle and the captain slammed on the brakes trying to abort the take off. My first thought is an airplane taxied onto the runway. But, as soon as we stopped he confirmed a light came on that he did not like so we were going back to the gate. As he is doing this, he taxis the plane across the active cross runway while a 737 is about to land. Scared me to death. The jet quickly aborted its landing and roared over us. By now, I am having second thought about this trip. Once we get to the gate we are there for about 30 minutes as the ground crew fools around with the flaps. The flight continued on nicely after that but that second take off was a bit concerning.
On the way back to charlotte everything went fine until I tried conecting to my flight to Greensboro. CANCELED. Okay, it happens, no big deal. I'l wait for the next flight. CANCELED. Mmmm okay now what I asked the agent? Well he said, we have arranged a bus. An Airbus? No a bus, bus. Okay fine, by now I just want to get home. So I go down there to get this bus. No Luggage. So now I get on this bus, and the driver says, sorry folk the air broke but you can ipen the windows if you want. Its like 100 degrees out and now people are getting very upset. I think I was loosing it because I found the whole expierence kinda funny. That was until we got to Greensboro and the fumes from the bus and the heat made me feel sick the rest of the day. And to think they took my ticket for that terrible bus ride. Oh well, thats what I get for staying on that original flight to Orlando.
