Eastern Air Lines In 1988

Wed Jul 05, 2006 10:20 am

Hi all. I received an Eastern Airlines system schedule from November of 1988, and two employee timetables from August of 1988 and have been poring through them for the last month. The employee timetables just list mainline flights and it appears that the MCI hub/focus city was pulled down on August 31, 1988, along with several midwestern and western cities, like OMA, OKC, SAT, SAN, TUL, and TUS. I was wondering what Eastern's network looked like from January to late July of 1988, as this was the last full year of the "old" Eastern, before the mechanics' strike and subsequent relaunch of the airline, with hubs in ATL and MIA, and focus cities of LGA, BOS, DCA and SJU that ran until January 19, 1991. Could anyone give me specific info as to cities/frequencies (especially Eastern Express) from focus cities (BOS, LGA, EWR, PHL, SJU, and DCA) and hubs (ATL, MCI, MIA)? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
