I don't have a link to this, but a company email stated that NW
has awarded a ground handling contract for a few cities to Air Wisconsin. The cities include TVC
, and SBN
plus a few others.
I didn't see this one coming, but one thing I have noticed is that management at Air Wisconsin seems to be putting more emphasis on our ground handling than on our flying, which worries me. We never hear any thing about our flying from management, but we hear all the raves about ground handling, which makes me wonder what direction ZW
is heading in.
The other question this raises is this? With the NW
RFP still out on the table and flying has not been awarded as a result, could this be a precursor to ZW
getting some flying for NW
? Personally as a ZW
employee knowing that Midwest has one out there as well, I would rather see us get the Midwest flying and no NW
flying. But us in ATW
who have no way to non rev out of our own airport because of no service on ZW
metal as opposed to all the other service in ATW
, will take any chance we can get.
