Flybe 733 At Southampton?

Mon Jul 10, 2006 4:18 am

I was just browsing through the aena website and on the flight departures its showing that tomorrow southampton-malaga flight is to be operated by a boeing 737 yet as far as i knew flybe do not use any 737's at southampton and according to the schedule it should be a 146. so what is going happening?

Maybe it is substituting a BAe146 or they are using it for extra capacity now the summer season is getting busy.

SOU may not be the biggest of airports, but it can easily accomodate a 737-300.

Several of the Spanish charter airlines regularly operate 737's into SOU.

Are they still using the AEU 733's operated on their behalf by AEU in full BE livery?

Yes this will continue to be the case for the summer timetable, while they offer higher frequencies to Spain and Portugal, than in the winter timetable.

Next year this should not be necessary, as the EMB-195's will gradually be joining the fleet over the latter half of this year and early next year.
