How Is BDL-LAX/LAS/SLC Doing?

Thu Jul 13, 2006 1:36 pm

Hello All,
I'm just curious as to how DL's West Coast flights from BDL are doing? I'm not sure if LAS has started yet, but if so how is it doing? With the winter ski season long over how's SLC holding up? Also with Song gone are the LAX loads still good, or is that route on the chopping block soon? Responses appreciated, please move topic if necessary.

Cheers from BDL and BAF,  wave

I was looking at BDL-LAX ticket for this summer, they all are almost completely fully booked. DL downgrade the equipment from 757 to 738, but now the route is daily instead of 4 or 5 days a week. The ticket price for july and august is already in the $800-$900 in coach, especially for weekend.

Cheers,
PP

Well, BDL-SLC has been dropped as of September if that tells you anything...  Sad

I'm really surprised that the BDL-SLC route has been dropped. The loads for it look good.

A separate thread on DL's fall sked mentioned BDL-SLC. I'm also surprised it's going away before ski season. But as the other thread pointed out, a lot of 757s are being refurbished, thus cutting into the rest of the fleet. It could be back, who knows.

I think another thread menioned that these routes are being shuffled around a bit as far as frequency, but not cxld all together. A combination of supply and demand, plus the refurbishing of the 757's

BDL-FLL is going fro m2 757 to 2 M80...bad for me! I'll take WN thank you!

btw its going from 398 total seats coach to 256 coach seats and 284 total seats...this is at the November holidays too, and I have only been on an empty FLL-BDL once in my 6 total trips so far...every other one was 90-100% full. AND NO I'M NOT HAPPY!  Smile

So, switch to WN, and justify DL's decision to cut capacity on the route. Good plan.

i have been loyal to DL for 15 years...and i need to get home from school...i have only gone against them once when i had to take a different time. I probably can't even take the nonstops, but going from a 757 for $89 to a M80 for $200 one way is unacceptable.
