End To Serving Meals Or Snacks On Short Flights?

Fri Jul 14, 2006 7:04 am

Hi All,

I am curious about when airlines stopped feeding passengers on Short flights (Under 90 Minutes) such as ORD-MSP or ORD-DTW (Which had full meals and snacks in my 1985 OAG)?

If you include airlines outside the USA, Air NZ stopped 'full frills' a few years back with domestic flights

NWA from DTW to DEN served breakfast in 2001 and in 2005 they did not. I don't when that changed. I have a neat VHS video from a Columbia, Missouri TV station from 1980 (or there abouts). They follow a Ozark DC-9 around for a day and from STL to I believe it was either Nashville or Memphis they served a hot breakfast on a 45 minute flight. It really looks good too. t It looked like the OJ was in glass glasses. My how things have changed. I have a 8 piece set of TWA silverwear that I use everyday. Makes me feel like 1st class, ha ha!
