UA935 LHR-LAX

Hi guys...

any UA mechanics/agents/pilots know what variant of 777 UA use on this flight.
In the OAG flight guide there are 3 acft types showing

1. Boeing 777-200 INT 1st
United First
Rows 1-3; 12 seats
United Business
Rows 8-15; 49 seats
United Economy
Rows 17-45; 215 seats

2. Boeing 777-200 INT
United First
Rows 1-2; 12 seats
United Business
Rows 8-15; 49 seats
United Economy Plus
Rows 17-26; 85 seats
United Economy
Rows 30-43; 114 seats

3. Boeing 777-200
United First
Rows 1-6; 36 seats
United Economy Plus
Rows 16-26; 89 seats
United Economy
Rows 27-53; 114 seats

Any idea which config flies flight most and what the possibilities of a equipment/config change is ?

I believe UA uses Option #2 -- With F, C, Eco+, and Eco. LAX-LHR is a premium route, so a C-Cabin and Economy Plus are definitely needed.

Option #3 is the domestic UA 772A -- usually used on Hawaii routes. There is no chance that would be substituted on LAX-LHR. As for Option 1, I wasn't aware any UA 777s lacked Economy Plus?

Yeah shows it in the OAG fligh guide supplement, unless thats out of date..

I wonder where OAG got the seating capacity information. United usually shows F/Y on a 2 class 777 as 36/312. I do not know where they came up with 203 in Y on a 2 class 777. That sounds more like a 2 class 767. Is "Rows 27-53; 114 seats" a typo? Economy Minus is usually 223 seats.

UA usually uses "International Configuration 2" as listed on their website for European flights, also known as XC or XI. "International Configuration 1" is usually for Pacific routes, called XP. XP has an overhead crew rest area which is why it has more F and C seats and only 1 fewer Y seat.

The 2 class 777 "North America Configuration 1" as mentioned is primarily for Hawaii flights and some hub-to-hub.

Your information doesn't seem correct. The plane operating LAX-LHR will have first, business, economy plus and economy. It could be operated with one of the 777s configured with the crew rest that has 10 seats in first class, but most likely it will be operated by one with 12 seats in first class (with 3A blocked off as a crew rest seat).
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

The XP version does NOT have an overhead crew rest, it has a Lower-Lobe Crew Rest. One of the 4 restrooms between doors 3 are replaced with an access area for the lower lobe crew rest.

As RoseFlyer said- UA935 could be used with XP... but will more then likely be used with the International configuration with 12 United First Seats.

The XP is used on long routes. IE: ORD to Asia and JFK to Asia.

It will be option 2 for sure which nose number will start with 29XX, although a config change might happen with one of the "pacific" preferred 777's with 10 in F and 45 C and the nose number will start with 26XX.
