Why Did AA Stop Flying Those Ex. Reno Air MD-90's

just wondering why AA discontinued flying those MD-90's.

Because it was a completely different type AA didn't already have and the associated costs with such a small subfleet would have made incorporation very expensive. Reno's MD-80's, however, were incorporated into the fleet quickly.

Search on the topic.....

Reno's fleet was integrated in the short-term, hence the white-birds.
However, their aircraft were all of different varients including a mix of MD-82's, 83's, 87's, and '90's. All have many differences from AA's MD-80's and were not cost effective to keep in the fleet. There only 5 MD-90's anyways, and those aircraft were subject to many maintenance issues.

All were removed from the fleet post-9/11.

And didn't some of the MD90s ended up in Lion Air?
