It's official, and a bunch of BS
if I do say so myself. I know I'm supposed to support my airline, but in this case, I sure as hell don't. As of August 4th, we're pulling out of GTF
(GPI), and GEG
. The loads aren't all that bad into those places, so I asked why. I was told by the General Office that it was basically none of my business. In the last month, my faith towards my employer has been plummeting.
Our manager walked out because our ex-UA bean counter CEO has basically thrown GQ
policy and federal law out the window. And now I hear we're going to contract two of our aircraft to Chalk Airlines (spelling?) in FLL
Why? Why do this? He's abandoning the region that has kept this airline going for the last 10 years so he can make a quick buck or two.
Next I read in a company news letter that we're going to have discussions with MWH
to keep service there, yet everyone (rampers, agents, and pilots alike) already knows we're pulling out of there after the EAS money is gone. ALW is next once our contract runs out. We're not going to PIR anymore, and the Nebraska bid went to another airline. To me, things honestly look bad. Better yet, when they decided to pull the plug on GTF
, and GEG
, they called all the managers and had them inform their agents, INSTEAD
of our CEO getting out of his office and going to each station and inform everyone himself like a good CEO should. GQ
's new motto is You'll like where we're going
. My question for the world is this; Where are we going? Because things on the horizon don't look too promising.
I apologize for ranting, and I suppose I shouldn't be ranting about my company, and I know everyone at the General Office says their doors are always open for questions, thoughts, and concerns, but I also know of several people who have questioned where the Company is headed just to be mysteriously let go a month or so later....
