US Airways Fleet Painting

Mon Jul 24, 2006 6:44 am

How much of US Airways (east) has been repainted. Including the regionals except the Air Whiskey planes.

I'm debating whether visit CLT soon or next May or June.

All replies appreciated  cool

Ozell, not much has really been painted since Justin and yourself were at CLT last: The ETOPS are obviously PHL only. As far as the 319s many of them make daily appearances at PHL. So Im sure they show up at CLT regularly. I say wait it out for more stuff to be sprayed before you make another trip to USAirwaysLand.

I'll be in US Airways land (not CLT) very soon! Big grin

Anyone have updates on the regional fleet?

MDT had an A319 the last two mornings painted in the new colors. Sorry I didn't get the reg number.

I'd can't wait to see the Dash 8's in new colors.

They would look cool! But don't hold your breath waiting on that. Pull one of these flying dumpsters out of service for a day and Piedmont practically goes into cardiac arrest. I'd rather see the 1989 interior get redone before they put new paint on them.

230 knots cruise in the -100 series. If that isn't a dog, I don't know what is. Don't get me wrong, I put up 2100 hours in the cockpit of the -100 and -300, and it's a fun plane to fly beause it will damn near do anything you ask it to. But the Mesa and Piedmont birds are disgusting inside with aircraft tape, overflow glue, dirty, and worn out seats that are like sitting on plywood.
