Tiger's Airplane?

Mon Jul 24, 2006 6:55 am

While watching Tiger Woods win another major, I heard the announcer mention that Ernie Els had his G5 waiting for him at the airport. I know lots of pro golfers have their own plane. Greg Norman--G5. Arnie--Citation X. Phil--G4.
Does anyone know if Tiger owns a plane, or uses such services as NetJets? Maybe he has a BBJ?
Thanks
Dave

His official website lists NetJets as a corporate sponsor and they say "We are proud to have Tiger Woods as one of our fractional aircraft owners."

It doesn't say he does not have his own jet, however.

A pretty impressive list of corporate sponsors!!

I think Greg has a BBJ now. Arnie has a fleet of Citations. Nicklaus has a couple of G-IV's.

Funny Nicklaus story. A few years back he was doing an event down at Gulfstream's Savannah plant. Anyway, someone was telling the story of a Suadi prince who bought the corresponding number of airplanes based on the model type (so 1 G-I, 2 G-II's, 3 G-III's, 4 G-IV's and 5 G-V's). Nicklaus leans over and tells one of the executives, "you ought to name the next one a G-20". Of course this was before they came out with the G-100 model.

Tiger has a fractional interest in a Citation X. However, with NetJets, he has the option to upgrade to a G-V or a BBJ for intercontinental trips.

Greg Norman was supposed to get a BBJ via a short-lived sponsorship agreement with Boeing, but ended up staying with his G-V. (Such a sacrifice!)

Phil has a G2 (N800pm). Jack's new G5 is n601md. I would like to get Ernie's tail # to track him when he is in the states playing. I have looked hi/lo for it but no success. Here are a few more famous reg's:
N303fz-Fuzzy Zoeller N1ap-Arnold Palmer
N1gn-Greg Norman

HC
