Boeing 777LR Deliveries

Tue Jul 25, 2006 8:48 am

I know that Pakistan International Airlines has two 777LRs that have been delivered, but when is the next delivery of a 777LR? Is EK or AC the next customer to receive a new 777LR? And when?

Don't know who is next, but AC won't get any B772LR until summer 2007.

I know EVA ordered early on, and air india, did QF order in the end?

And then of course theres EK...

I'd say either EVA or AI next, but just wait a while, I'm sure someone will post the really info in a minute.

They are too busy shipping out 773ERs right now, and no 772LR customers paid enough to get early slots. I would assume there are only so many GE90-110/5s they can get per month.

I thought the first of the 777s were gojng to arrive at AC in Q1 of 2007---so I assume that the first deliveries will be the 773s, and the 772LRs won't start until summer '07?

If memory serves AC expects to have 7 T7s in the air by end of 2007, out of interest anyone know what the breakdown is expected to be as between 773s and 772LRs for the 2007 deliveries?

Air Canada also will lease additional 777-300ER for a 10 year lease through ILFC and will take delivery next year so there will be 8 T7s, 4 300ERs and 4 200LR. Here's the link http://micro.newswire.ca/release.cgi...y=1404031596&view=58060-0&Start=10

Air Canada leases additional Boeing 777-300ER to accelerate wide-body fleet renewal and modernization

MONTREAL, April 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada announced today it has signed a 10-year lease for one new Boeing 777-300ER from International Lease Finance Corporation to accelerate its wide-body fleet renewal and modernization program. Air Canada will take delivery of the leased aircraft in May 2007, bringing to eight the total number of Boeing 777s entering the fleet next year. Delivery of the leased aircraft will allow Air Canada to accelerate by
nearly two years the return of a leased Airbus A340-300 originally scheduled
to be returned to ILFC in mid-2009. The transaction is part of an ongoing
renewal program that will give Air Canada one of the most modern aircraft
fleets in the world and provide savings on fuel, expanded range capabilities
and other efficiencies.
In November 2005, Air Canada announced that it had concluded agreements with Boeing for the acquisition of up to 36 Boeing 777s and up to 60 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The agreements include firm orders for 18 Boeing 777s, plus purchase rights for 18 more, in a yet-to-be determined mix of the 777 family's newest models: the 777-300ER, the 777-200LR Worldliner and the 777 freighter. Delivery of the 777 aircraft is scheduled to commence in March 2007. The agreements also include firm orders for 14 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, plus options and purchase rights for an additional 46 aircraft. Air Canada's first
787 is scheduled for delivery in 2010.

Yes, AI is expected to take the new 777-200LR. It will the first of the batch of new aircraft they ordered.

By the way, its hard to find a customer these days who opted for the GE90-110B. AC and EK ordered the -115B, and Air France ordered it too for their freighters. I am not too sure about AI, but I am think it will be a -115B as well.

Keep in mind that the phrase 777 Long Range applies to both the 777-200LR and -300ER. Boeing replaced the initial title of 777X with 777LR when the program was launched in 2000.

So to be specific, you are inquiring about deliveries of the 772LR model. Simply asking about 777LR deliveries, without narrowing down to the -200LR variant, implies the deliveries of both aircraft.

777 LR = development program

777-300/ER = aircraft model
777-300/LR = aircraft model

BR has 3 x B772LRs on order. They're scheduled to be received March/June 2008 and March 2009. Folks keep saying they're likely to convert these to B772LRFs and buy 3 more B773ERs so we'll have to see.

BR has 9 x B773ERs on order (3 delivered) with scheduled delivery in November 2006, February/May/August/December 2007, May/July/October 2008, and June 2009.

According to boeing.com, BR has reduced the numbers of B772LRs down to two, and increased the number of B773ERs to 13 (three out of these have been delivered.)

No they didn't. Check out Boeing's orders & deliveries-page, and you'll see that they have a total of 15 773ERs and 772LRs on order, and no 772Fs. But, it has been suggested for a long time that the 772LRs would be changed into 772Fs.

I believe AF ordered the first B-777-200LRF. Do we know when it begins flight testing begins? I don't think this airplane has been built, yet.

It hasn't been built yet, the final design isn't finished either. EIS for the 772F is the fourth quarter of 2008, and I would guess that flight testing would begin in the first few months of 2008.

Query: I assume this is for fleet commonality (or engine resale) with 773's. Or... is the 772 not certified for 115k thrust? Just curiosity.

It is an available option for the 772LR, but I don't think its been certified yet since no one has ordered it.

AIC is Air-India.

AC will first get a -300/ER and later -200/LR. AC should have their first -200/LR by Jun07 or so.
