I will be flying with Air France on Monday and the flights are (times in brackets and local time): -
31/07/06 – AF2471 / LHR
(09:00) / A321
31/07/06 – AF0012 / CDG
(12:10) / 777-200
14/08/06 – AF0011 / JFK
(10:00) / 747-400
15/08/06 – AF1570 / CDG
(12:15) / A320 (seen it listed as an A318 also)
I have a number of questions: -
This is the first time that we have flown on a connecting flight, the Air France website mentions ‘if you can check in for the whole flight one boarding pass will be issued’ will a LHR
flight and on the return qualify and do they allow you to choose a seat for both flights?
I have also not used online check-in before, we planned to use it, but seatguru.com says that it cannot be used for flights to the USA, is this the case for some countries (i.e. France-USA) or does it apply to all countries, cause I believed before that it was frequently used by business people and New York has to be one of the premier business locations.
When the flight lands in Paris we have to transfer from CDG
2F to 2C, which seems to be quite a way? Has anyone done this on the forum? I believe that there is an airside shuttle, which takes us to 2C?
Onboard I assume that that 777 will defiantly have AVOD and the 747-400 may depending on the aircraft? Do you know where the AVOD 747-400’s fly? Also is the IFE in dual English/French.
Sorry about all the questions but this is my first flight with a non-British airline and the first connecting flight!
If anyone has any more information on the specific aircraft, please post it.
Some of the questions on online-check-in and connecting flights are things that I have wondered for quite some time
Thanks a lot on advance I really appreciate any answers
