Emirates Had A Bird Strike Incident In Istanbul

Sat Jul 29, 2006 10:50 am

I have just heard the report that Emirates had a bird strike incident during their Dubai-Istanbul service. I believe the equipment was a 777-300 with 410 pax on board Plane landed safely. without any passenger injuries. I love 777s, so durable. Applauds to Boeing and to pilots.

Does anyone have more info on this incident ?
If it ain't Boeing I am not going

No offence, but is a bird strike really this noteworthy? We had 2 last we from LAX, yet nothing is posted cause its an everyday occurrence.

A very fair point, however, to hide it as FlyEmirates suggests is ridiculous!

I would guess that FlyEmirates actually works for Emirates and so could conclude that there is at the very least, an element of a hinting of the truth in what was said above and that one should not be so quick to dismiss it.

Also, 410 pax. What is that?! 100% load?
