In the comment box underneath the piscture is written that this is a special colorsheme celebrating the 100th Airbus for Cathay/Dragon.

Looks more like an unfinishe regular livery to me. Any toughts? Is this an unfinished livery of what will become a special livery?

I bet it's just a small bit of graphics and says 60th anniversary and 100th aircraft...

Quoting Manni (Thread starter):
special color scheme celebrating the 100th Airbus for Cathay/Dragon.

That is the best answer.

Quoting Manni (Thread starter):
CX did that to celebrate the 100th Airbus for Cathay/Dragon.

Other than that, it does

Quoting Manni (Thread starter):
Looks more like an unfinished regular livery to me too.

My thoughts are that CX will paint the un-finished paint part in the bottom in a few months to the regular look. I don't think it will last that long because it doesn't even look as if it was a special scheme.

CX had a internal staff naming competition for the 100th aircraft, so that area will hv the special name and the winner's name on it once they announce the result

I HAVE AMENDED THAT COMMENT TWICE but does not seem interested to accept what I've told them. Its GOING to be a special scheme for the 100th aircraft in the CX Fleet.

As for the name, the new 773 also has a name... well it did for the delivery flight anyway.

Just to reiterate. Many comments on this photo seem to indicate that it is the 100th aircraft for the combined fleet if Cathay, Dragonair, and Air Hong Kong. Well cathay is larger than most people realise and this will be our 100th aircraft to join our fleet. This excludes Dragonair and Air Hong Kong which also operate a number of Airbuses.
