Boeing 748 Interior Virtual Tour - Video

Fri Aug 04, 2006 2:16 pm

Here is a Boeing video showing the interior of the 748. It also shows the "skyloft" which is unlikely, but still very cool to consider. I'd pay for one of those beds.  Smile (press "play")

Blank.

Looking good. I cant wait to sleep in one of those skybeds..... though yes, I am afraid its about as likely as the A380's shopping malls. You never know though. One can always hold out hope, as it really is a very cool concept....

Thanks Diamond, that was great. I wonder how many of those great ideas actually make into revenue service....  Smile

Wow. It only took 6 months for this video to make it here.

Very cool indeed.

Nice lounges and suites but IMO the Y-class looks a bit too old. Would be nice if Boeing considers an upgrade here as well.
There's still a long way to go before all the alliances deserve a star...

IIRC, it's been linked to before in other threads. The video is very well done. Unfortunately, according to Jim Wallace of the Seattle PI there's only serious interest from the airline's in utlilizing the "skyloft/fuselage crown" is as galley.

Aerospace Notebook: Little market for suites on 747-8

...But the visitors did like one feature that seems certain to be on the 747-8. The added room above the main cabin allows for a galley, which will free up seats in the main cabin for more paying passengers...

Oui, mais ... but the 748 looks very narrow and cramped compared to the spaceship in the "Cinquieme element" (how can I make the accents with a German keyboard?) and the promising videos of the A380.
