Airbus Mending?Forgeard Gone! Halibut Out Of Work?

Sat Aug 05, 2006 3:08 am

Looks as though Airbus's problems are now behind them . Forgeard , the master of turning minor problems into major catastrophes , is now gone & replaced by new , honest , gallant professions . All A380 glitches have been addressed & are currently being worked on . And Airbus is now laboring on the Twin Aisle , Wide Body market with there brand new XWB-A350 !

Is it safe to say : Airbus has already hit rock bottom & can now only go up from here on out ???

Hhmm  scratchchin

Yah !

Can't see things ever boiling over the way they did in 2006 for AB.

Perhaps this catchphrase from "twelve-step programs" is an apropos cautionary reminder: "Every Rock Bottom Has A Trapdoor."

I think it is. I can't imagine a worse scenario for them (unless they crash four whalejets in testing which won't happen) than they had the first half of 06. I think they have a bright future ahead of them AS LONG AS the XWB-A350 lives up to the promises they made since their credibility is still in ward 9. Bottom line is there's no place for them to go except up.

Now Boeing have to really start thinking about launching the dash 10 otherwise A will eat their lunch AND dinner.
If you are going through hell, keep going.

Agreed. The -10 is going to be key and they need to launch it and at an extremely competitive price. If they can get RR and GE to commit to a higher thrust versions of their engines then so much the better for the -10. After that they have go to start addressing improvements for the 777 aircraft using the 787 technologies. Airbus has essentially thrown in the towel on the 200-250 seat market so they need to milk that cow for all it's worth.

Don't be surprised if later on Airbus tries to address the 200-250 seat market with a stretch version of the next generation single aisle aircraft (A320NG).
