NW Mainline Coming Back To CID

Sat Aug 05, 2006 11:20 pm

Not sure if you guys were aware of this or not, but on the Timetables coming out on the 22nd of Aug, Northwest is sending the DC-9 back to Cedar Rapids!

It looks like 2 flights per day

From CID:
#1523 5:12am-6:14am D9S X7
#409 12:50pm-1:53pm D9S X67

From MSP:
#1491 11:11am-12:10pm D9S X67
#1750 10:15pm-11:12pm D9S X6

The ARJ is completely off-line at both Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, but still flying at other stations. I heard CID was doing well in terms of passenger enplanements this year and apparently it's been good enough for NW to put mainline aircraft with first class cabins back on this route. It'll be nice to see the venerable DC-9 back in the Iowa Technology Cooridor, haha.

Lol, The DC-9's seem to come and go on a monthly basis, but I'm surprised it's 2x DC-9 as it's usually one.

Also of interest OMA will get a D9S to DTW and A320 to MEM, plus the mainline/RJ mix to MSP.
