DL Crew Rest Seats

Mon Aug 07, 2006 8:41 am

Does DL offer there F/A dedciated crew rest seats on the 763 aircrafts that fly into Europe? I know on the 764 a/c rows 12 and 13 are F/A crew rest seats. They have a huge seat pitch with leg rest. and 7E in the First class cabin is the pilots crew rest seat.

Row 10 on the 763ER perhaps? It shows only being available on domestic flights.

Yes Row 15. 15FG is BizElite for pilots and and 15ABCDE is standard coach for FA's.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Well it used to be the last two rows on the right side, seats F and G for the FA´s. So in today´s cabin layout DL is currently flying, this would be seats 40 F and G and 41 F and G.

Not sure however if this might have been changed.

Maybe it is really row 10 now, if this row is only available on domestic flights this might be the case!

I´m sure someone from DL can clear this up...  Wink

Best regards

No, that was the old layout. And the map with row 10 posted above is also very old. The new layout (on the non-GF 763ERs) has the pilot rest seat at 6C (so BizElite only has 35 seats for sale), while the 4 FA rest seats are now all the way in the back at 40F,G and 41F,G. On the ex-GF 763ERs, the pilot rest seat is at 5C while the FA rest seats are at 39FG and 40FG.

The FA rest seats a long time ago used to be 40,41 in the back but these had extended legroom and legrests. However, for a while, they were moved up to 15AB,and FG still with legrests and slightly more pitch, while the pilots had 15E (a BizElite seat). However, since the reconfiguration a few months ago, the special one row of crew rest seats (row 15) has been removed to fit in more Y pax. seats; hence the pilot rest seat was moved up to the main BE cabin while the FAs got dumped in the back again, but this time with no additional legroom or legrests, just the regular Y pax. seats.

On a full flight, you're not going to get much rest in those coach seats in the back. I can't figure out why we at AA have 4 dedicated crew rest seats on our 767-300 and still have more seats in coach then DL. So much for DL taking care of their flight attendants like the used to. I really miss the good old days.

Perhaps because your birds are more uncomfortable for the rest of the pax?

Its off topic a little bit but why are there three rows of leather seats in coach on ship 1200. I didn't want to start a new thread.

Hmmmmmmm....seat pitch is the same. No ptv's in y/c on either carrier. I've flown on both DL and AA. Y/C is Y/C.
