Pro Air was based out of Detroit City Airport, Detroit, MI
. Seattle was where the HQ
, Dispatch, MX
Control and all of the main functions of the airline were based. Not sure where Des Moines came up, though there is a Des Moines, WA
in the Seattle area that may be where Mr. Stamper had his residence (my recollection was north of the city, but it's been 10 years since I was at his house).
Now, as far as the story goes, it's not a grudge against the FAA, though this is how the story is somewhat written. I've held off saying much about the Pro Air story as I still would like to write a full fledged novel about my time there, from start-up to the actions that happened as noted on the website provided by SHUPirate...but I will say this. Grudges, when held by people with power, can do much harm.
The pilots, fellow dispatchers and flight attendants, along with the countless other staff members of Pro Air that fought long and hard to keep the airline running when these things were occuring, deserved a much better fate than the grudges that were bestowed unknowingly upon them.
