Aviacsa's Fleet Renewal!

Sat Aug 12, 2006 12:39 pm

If everything goes well and according to the plan, tomorrow, finally, 6A will be getting it's 1st of 05 B737-300s ex. Us Air. At the same time, a new livery is on its way.

Additional to that, by February 2007, the 1st of 25 EMB145s ex. COEX will start to get here. High changes of MIA seeing it soon back now with these B733s additions and ORD is still uncertain. But sure we might be able to see other new cities specially on the north and pacific mexican coast. About time!!! Source: DGAC.

Excellent news, yes FINALLY. Will the RJs be flown under the Aviacsa brand, or Aviacsa Express?

Oh God, please let this be true.

You beat me to it, just what I was wondering.

And the new color scheme is going to be...? Don't tell me: blue tail, white, almost empty, fuselage?

I have seen them @ MEX, they have winglets:

I wonder why all AeroLitoral ERJ145s don't have WLs.

Color scheme is OK, but logo and fonts could be improved/updated...

Thank God...The 737-200 that services LAS is loud as hell...That and the Champion 727s...I can always tell when they are taking off because I can hear them at my house (I live about 6 long blocks away from the 25s).

SurferX...Give me a break! If you do not like a/c noise, then why are you living 6 blocks away from the nations 5th busiest airport (9th in the world)? These are last of old generation airliners at LAS and we do not need to be chasing them away. Sometimes I will just never understand how people on this forum are aviation enthusiasts, yet complain about jet noise.

Anyone here more details about the last 727s of Aviacsa. Routes, dates and fate of the final aircraft? I guessed late april 2006?

Great news indeed for 6A! Wondered if they considered turbo props before deciding on the EMB145'S?

ExpressJet Airlines (CoEx) is the only airline with winglets on it's Embraer 145. But only the XR-vesion have winglets, so "just" 104 of 274 ERJ of CoEx have winglets.

But I think, that the Aviacsa ERJ would be ERJ145ER - without winglets.

I guess he is using an acronym for Express Jet Inc. = XJT, since they use that symbol in the NYSE...

ICAO XJT = XJet Limited UK
ICAO BTA = Express Jet Airlines (IATA = RU)

Two weeks ago I was in TIJ waiting for my Y4 flight back to TLC and saw a 6A B722W landing... They should still have one or two for the non-stop MEX-TIJ-MEX, but the B722's should leave the fleet when the B733's arrive.

I think SurferX was only saying that he can hear the aircraft from where he lives, nothing more.

One would assume that these former Continental Express jets would be the ones that Express Jet (XJT) decided to take elsewhere rather than fly them for Continental at market rates.

MEA-707 I think the 727 days maybe numbered...I do recall a very clear incident last year at LAS. One of their 727's was taking off and blew some tires and proceeded on its journey. Sadly, it was the last 6A 727 service we ever saw again. I believe they are still in service, but I do not see them flying into the U.S anymore, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I totally love living over here...I really don't care about the noise (to be honest, I don't really hear it). I was trying to make a joke.

Really? I'm glad to see that Aviacsa is doing well enough to get new aircraft. Good for them, and much continued success in the future!

It shouldn't be a could,
It should be a most!!!

6A image should be revised, there's literally a lot of space to improve the color scheme, maybe even try new colors!

I think the 733 will serve them well for thier routes. The ERJ-145's will be a big improvement and shorten their fleet age. Are these ex US 733's getting a new interior?

Nice to see 6A get some 737-300s. Regretfully the ex US Air birds are some of the oldest -300s around and lack newer niceties such as a glass cockpit.

I'm not sure I'd be so excited to receive older -300s when some of the -200 are even younger having all been built as late as 1986.
