Routes For Which There Is Always...

Sat Aug 12, 2006 3:36 pm

...an aircraft flying! By "always", I clearly mean 24/7.

I think that JFK-LHR is the obvious candidate, if you take into account flights that leave JFK in the early morning...

But what about domestic routes? I do not think that any european route has this property...

With the duration, frequency, and varying departures through the day, a good guess would be HKG-LHR.

SEA-ANC, Alaska always has a few on its way to ANC. In fact, earlier when I checked there were 7 Alaska flights in the air en route to ANC from SEAWow!

SYD-LHR & MEL-LHR

As the flights are about 23 hours 30 minuties elapsed time and there are two each day, execpt for about 30 min there are indeed two aircraft in the air, in each direction!

True. I failed to realise that it was really that long
