Great video. GRU, one of my top 5 airports. Thanks for shareing. Video would have been even sweeter if it ended on an RG MD11.

Nice video but I would like it better without the music. I like the Goo Goo Dolls just as much as the next guy but not when I'm trying to pay attention to ATC Big grin

Great video. Did I see a white 707 near the end of the video or am I mistaken?

That would be the Skymaster 707F, I think.

Thank you. Do you know if this 707 is still in service? I did not know that there were still 707 freighters around.

This aircraft had a nose gear failure while landing at MAO a few weeks ago, I don't know if it's a write-off or they'll repair it. This is/was Skymaster's only 707.

Skymaster also has a DC-8F. Beta Cargo (also from Brazil) has a 707-300F.

Sorry to see that, however that landing would have been interesting if caught on video like the Jet Blue landing.

Really amazing video. Thanks for my friend Myron and all GRU ATC staff!

Was really a nice time in april spent 3 hours at GRU ATC with an amazing view (i saw PP-VRA, LH 744, KLM 772, AC, AA, AZ, many JJ, RG and G3) and a very nice people. Myron, first in Contato Radar and now in A.Net: thanks so much !

Expect to visit the ATC again before going to JFK next month.

Visit contatoradar.com.br and know more about the ENEAv (National Meeting for Aviation Enthusiastic) which took place at GRU this year. More than 50 people in the ATC (for sure, including myself!). Next year, if you're in São Paulo you can join us (the place where people call me as LipeGRU ... )

They speak Portuguese with Brazilian crews (also sometimes with TP crews). Sometimes you'll also hear some Spanish chatter with AR, IB or LA. Everything else is in English.

Yep, that was the A320 (if I recall correctly) that U2 (the band, not the airline) chartered from Air Canada for their Vertigo tour.
