XLA Plane Diverted After Bomb Scare

Sat Aug 19, 2006 1:05 am

This is getting silly!

Some asshole on a charter flight thinks it would be a great idea to stuff a note in the back of a seat and scare the shit out of a plane load of tourists.

Losers!!

Safe flying everyone.

Bit of a stupid thing to do, won't be too difficult to work out who's previously been sat in the seat where the note was found.

Sure it is, now it just takes an idiot, a pen and a sickbag to:

-Divert a 767 full of people and scare the hell out of them
-Make an F16 scramble and intercept that flight
-Alert the fire brigade, police, airport security, bomb squad, sniffer dogs...
-waste a lot of money as a consequence

I hope they bust that moron and make him pay the bill, i guess how much was it just for the fuel...

Hard times guys...  Sad
If God had wanted men to fly he would have given them more money...

To be honest it could be anyone from cabin crew, ground staff, passengers etc.

We're always going to be faces with these idiots who insist on playing silly pranks, but it's something airlines are going to have to get used to, especially nowadays!

Saddening for Excel and the passengers on-board, but I'm sure there never was a real threat to the aircraft! Glad everyone's safe and the correct procedures were followed!

I remember one once had it on an Air Scandic flight, it happened before the flight left the gate, the note that day, was put onboard by Scottish football fans as it had been used on a football charter the previous day.

Glad everything was ok with this flight too, and ended up being a hoax.
