A Historic Visit At Sola Airport In Norway

Sun Aug 20, 2006 8:52 am

On 24 October 2003, Sola airport in Stavanger, Norway had visits of 3 Cocordes in one day. Two Cocordes at the same time, side by side. It's basically only, New York, London and Paris airports where that happens. Check out the pictures and read about the visit here:

Judging by the pics, I think those Concorde visits occurred before 2003, and certainly not on the exact day they were retired...
Scotty doesn't know...

They are not from the retirement day.

Nothing else.

Quoting Mortyman (Reply 2):

Because the livery is the old design that was replaced in the late 1990s.

Yes I can see thay've got the old livery, the date must be the actual date that the Concordes were retired then. and not the actual date they were in Stavanger.

However still a great moment in Stavanger, whatever date it was.

The "Landor" Livery was first phased out on Concorde in 1997, G-BOAF being the first to take on the "Chatham" livery. The other aircraft all followed suit fairly shortly afterwards except G-BOAG, which stayed in the Landor livery until 2000.
I came, I saw, I Concorde! RIP Michael Jackson
