Approximately at 7:00pm the operations at ATL Hartsfield International came to a hault, while a thunderstorm moved over. All ramp agents and airline personell were ordered to vacate the ramp. This usually happens when lightning is within a half mile to a mile away from the field.
Right before that call went out lightning struck a 757 which was parked and chalked at B concoarse in ATL. Three DL ramp agents were injured as well as a DL mechanic. The plane was checked then cleared.
