A.netters To The Rescue

Thu Aug 24, 2006 1:47 am

There is an interesting ariticle in the August 22, 2006 Wall Street Journal headlined "Terror Fears Stretch Already Burdened Travelers Aid Group". The headline is actually a little more sensational than the ariticle (I would include a link but it requires a logon) which profiles this venerable organization that many of us have probably used.

The end of the article points out that Travelers Aid is in need of new volunteers and that many of them, like my father, are retirees from the airline industry. That got me to thinking. I'll bet that many A.netters would make excellent Travelers Aid volunteers and would really enjoy it to boot. My dad works DCA and always has an interesting new story to tell!

So, if any of you have the time and inclination here's the web site:
...are we there yet?
