90 Minz At LAX

Tue Jun 27, 2000 4:24 pm

Hey all I will be at LAX on the 29th of this month I will be in UALS terminal 7. I will have 90 mins to chill at LAX, what all is there to do in that time. Is there somewhere where I can eat and get a good view in this time? Is there a quiet little place with a good view where I can sit and collect my thoughts? All you laxers please let me know, sorry for such short notice!

90 minutes isn't much. I recommend you go to the international terminal and sit at the waiting lounge located in the center between the two gate arms. There are many food places to choose from, and this lounge puts you about 30 feet from taxiing planes. A fun place to hang out for a couple of hours. Hope this helps,

I was at LAX recently. I flew Air New Zealand to Sydney. If you have 90 minutes you need to go eat at the Encounters restaurant. It was built in 1961, and is a landmark for LAX. You get a great view of both Parallel runways, and it has a neat outer space theme. The cuisine I found to be upscale, and delecious. You'll find items like Peking Duck and Garlic Pork Chops gracing the menu. If you have any time left. I also reccomend going to the international terminal as well.

90 minutes is definately not enough time!

I second what Ben advised. Go down to where the shuttles stop and wait for the LAX shuttale bus A. It will take you around all of the terminals. Check out the food court area at the Tom Bradley terminal.

A warning though: Make sure you allow plently of time to deal with the crowds, airport security, and the traffic on the lower level. I was at LAX last Sunday and it was an absolute nightmare trying to get around. It took 25 minutes to get through airport security (this was at 10pm at night at the AA terminal). My friends who live there said it's been like that for the past three weeks now. Allow plently of time to get around!

You have to go to the observation deck on the Theme Building (the strange spider shaped building that is a landmark at LAX). It has great views of all terminals and runways. The Encounters Restaurant previously mentioned is also in that building.

It is not too far from Terminal 7 (you can actually walk there if you don't have too much luggage!)
