I think that you dont know a US Airways and Continental apart nor do you know the difference between LaGuardia and EWR OR a crash and a near miss....OR a DC-10 from...well, I think you get the picture.
Just what kinds of trouble does CO have with their DC-10s that somehow relate to their age? Not many I presume. The DC-10, in relation to the percentage of the entire fleet still in service as opposed to those that have been scrapped or written off is impressive. About 9% of the fleet is out of service compare that to about 12% for the 747. Fewer DC-10s have been scrapped than any other of the 1st generation widebody aircraft.
