Freed Fox Journalists Fly On Murdoch's Private Jet

Mon Aug 28, 2006 7:25 am

Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul and two-thirds owner of the Fox Network, has sent his private jet to collect two of his recently freed staffers who were kidnapped in Gaza a fortnight ago. Hopefully it will be a nice piece of comfort for them after their incarceration and conversion at gun-point to Islam.

Anyone know what kind of plane the billionaire baron has? Or is it planes?

I'm glad they are freed and Murdoch is being a great boss by sending his jet (whatever it is) to Israel for them.

Now wait for the anti-FOX crowd to get here saying things like "It served them right to get captured"; etc.
I love ASO!

And further to the story: Fox is flying members of the family out from New Zealand tomorrow to be reunited with Olaf Wiig (cameraman). Presumably the same for Steve Centanni (reporter).

Olaf's father, the Reverend Roger Wiig and mother Jill (who had been holidaying in New Zealand at the time of the kidnap) are flying out with Olaf's twin Sven and fiancé Jessica tomorrow (29 August New Zealand time) to be reunited with the rest of the family including sister and family from New England and Olaf's wife Anita.

Fantastic news!
