flyLAL taking over British Airways’ passengers
British Airways will hand over its passengers to Lithuania’s flyLAL after
cancelling flights between Vilnius and London on October 29. Numbers of passengers who have bought tickets after the date is withheld.
Rasa Barisiene of British Airways said that an agreement was hammered out during Friday’s talks with Lietuvos Avialinijos, operator of flyLAL, that the Lithuanian company would fly BA passengers on the route Vilnius-London-Vilnius with no additional charge until August 1, 2007.
“No additional charges will be required from clients who want to use the tickets, clients will be able to use BA tickets on the route Vilnius-London-Vilnius for analogous routes operated by flyLAL. Clients will only have to notify that his reservation has not been canceled and he would fly on the date indicated on the ticket,” says Arunas Griskenas, flyLAL CEO.
