I just want to congratulate all the DL employees on this board and state that I have noticed a significant improvement in the service that you are providing. It is a testiment that the Delta culture is alive and strong, despite the struggles that you have all endured.
To give you an example of this service, I have an upcoming trip between CVG and BOS. I am a Gold Elite member, and have been for a number of years. When I made the reservation a month ago, I had requested to be put on the upgrade list. However, for some reason when I checked my reservation today, my upgrade showed as "Contact Delta." When I called the special members number, the Delta representative activated my upgrade on the waitlist and apologized that it was not activated when I made the reservation. The thing that shocked me was they offered me a free rental car to compensate for the mistake. I was shocked. I wasn't upset at all that the upgrade wasn't activated, and declined the offer. But it did make me notice that Delta is going above to make their customer's happy, even it was for something that I am not guarenteed, an upgrade. So Kudos to Delta.
