New AA Flights To S. America!?

Wed Jun 28, 2000 11:27 am

In my opinion Delta needs to focus a bit more in the Latin America market, that is a very profitable and growing market! Here are some of my suggestion :

MIA-REC-SSA that would be a very profitable route and would have a great demand. No one flies this route in a regular schedule, i think a 3/week flight would be good, increasing to daily in the summer. People from Northeast Brazil don't like to go all the way south to connect in GIG or GRU. This would allowed faster connection and also the NE is one of the Hottest destinations in Brazil! I'd say a 767 to this route.

JFK-BSB-CNF Belo Horizonte is the 3rd finacial center in Brazil and the 3rd largest metro are with 3.5 million hab. It would be very good to have a non-stop flight to JFK, the are a good number of Brazilians in NYC and the demand would be good. AA already flies from MIA to CNF with 1stop in GIG. This would criate another connection gate to the US from Brazil. Brasilia beeing the capital and where the gov is located is one of the fastest growing areas in Brazil, a lot of politicians work and live ther also and the student population pretty big too. It is there where the Embassies of many countries are located at. This route would defenetly be profitable with a 767!!! Transbrasil had a flight from GRU, stopping in BSB to JFK and IAD , but since they dropped this two destionation, no one offers this service!!!

JFK-Cordoba(AR) a flight to the 2nd largest city in Argentina could be a great shot from American.

DFW-GIG increase it to daily flights , come on this will work!!!!

what you think about it? i would really like to read your opinion about it!!!
DFW-EZE, i don't understand why AA does not fly this route yet!!! it has everything to work!!!!

i think AA should do non stop DFW-GIG as well along with 2 daily GRU routes. i also think one of the twice daily DFW-GRU flights should be a 777, and i think the MIA-GRU flights should be 777s. do u think that ORD-GRU would work for AA? i realize that 777s are being put on other routes.but the 777 should replace the md-11 in the future as they probably will. do u think AA would be profitable out of any other US hubs to Brazil. also from Miami i think AA would be profitable to Manaus, recife,Fortaleza,Brasilia,or a non stop to Belo Horizonte. i would love to see AA continue to grow in Brazil and use huuuuge planes, KEEP GROWING IN BRAZIL AA!!!!
