Not likely as there is not enough traffic to support an A380 on most long international routes from Vancouver, BC.

However, there is one exception: if Cathay Pacific (CX) does order the A380-800 then they might use the plane on the HKG-YVR route, since the Vancouver, BC area has a very large expatriate Hong Kong population.

Possibly, as CX continues to JFK, once daily.
The problem is, it wouldn't be full YVR-JFK-YVR.

I don't know if any airlines are planning on sending the A380 to YVR. However, the current expansion to the international terminal will have 2 gates that can handle the A380.

What about LH? I can see them sending an A380 maybe once a week in the summer months.

I think YVR was the first airport in Canada to be A380 ready.

Really unlikley we will see an A380 in Vancovuer in the next 3 years, CX included. Possible during the Olympics, i dont think we have the numbers on any route to support such a large A/C
