A Few Questions About BA Connect And Its Codes!

Mon Sep 04, 2006 2:52 am

I have a couple of questions to ask about BA Connect.

1) Why on the timetables on the BA website do they use the code TH and not BA for all BA Connect flights? If you look at Live Departure/Arrival boards on Manchester Airports website, for example, they always use the code BA. What is TH meant to stand for???

Also, it says on the GB Airways website that from 1st September 06, all GB Airways flights will operate as BA Connect, but they are still using the GT code in the timetable for flights FROM September 1st 06.

2) Will all the GB Airways flights operating out of Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham change to the small BA Connect titles underneath the main British Airways title at the front of the plane?

Im a bit confused about it all so if someone could explain I would be very grateful!!

TH was the code for BRA - British Regional Airlines. The airline that morphed into BA CitiExpress and then into BA Connect.

As for GB Airways to BA Connect, I have no clue, possibly GB Airways operating as BA Connect, but still on their own operating certificate?

If it is a GT code, it isn't a BA flight and has nothing to do with BA.

They are often charters. GT flight to GNB from LGW on Saturdays is one.

The GT code is in the 'Op by' column not the flight number for MAN-TFS flights.
