FR's Online Check-in: One Question.

Mon Sep 04, 2006 3:47 pm

I have yet to use FR’s online check-in. Its website says that it its customers may check-in between 2 days and 4 hours before departure. Once you have checked-in online, are you permitted to proceed through security at any time? For example, if I were to check-in online at 2300 the day before a 0630 flight at STN, could I proceed through security at, say, 2330? What are the limitations?

I soncerely don't know, but last tuesday, the 29th august I was in Stockholm Skavsta (NYO) and I had my Check'n Go done. I went into the departing lounge about 3 hours prior departure. Nobody told me nothing.

Quoting Pe@rson (Thread starter):

I'm not sure about Ryanair, but at Gatwick, i have done a similar thing with BA. To save having to get up early for a 6:25am flight, i went through to the departure lounge at about 12:30am, and they didn't seem to have a problem.

On a similar note, at Dublin, is it possible to fly in on an FR flight, and then get onto another one without having to go through customs? I did a BRS-DUB-BRS night trip last december, to get on one of the B737-200's, and when we landed at DUB, we went straight into the departure lounge and had to follow signs for the arrivals hall. Unfortunately, because there was no online check in, I had to go landside and spend the night in the check-in hall. I wouldn't mind doing a similar thing if i can stay airside, but I'm not sure if this is the case for all gates that FR use at DUB?
