JAL And ANA To YYC?

Tue Sep 05, 2006 6:40 am

Saw a pic that said JAL and ANA are serving Calgary. Since when, and with what equipment, frequencies, etc. Does AC fly YYC-NRT/KIX? Thanks.

thanks, that's what I guessed, but the photographer made it sound like they had sched. service. What does ANA fly into YYC?

Not sure what they would operate (for charters). JL tends to use 747-400s (I should know - I've escorted enough of them, LOL!)

I flew through YYC 3 times in two weeks mid august and saw the ANA's there everytime. They were also scheduled as nonstops to Tokyo on the board. I don't know if my timing was just lucky or not but I hope they stick around.

Banff (Canadian Rockies) is the most popular spot for Japanese tourists in North America, I used to work at Banff and I swear better than half of the visitors are Japanese during the summer.

Banff is definetly popular with them, but not the most popular spot in north america....If it was you would see JAL or ANA flying scheduled flights to YYC by now.Alberta has taken off with the jap's and we see them going to other parts like Jasper and now more then ever the aurora tours to Yellowknife in Jan and Feb when its easily -30 all the time.
Guess what???I dont like you either...
