LHR And MAN Lounges

Wed Sep 06, 2006 6:03 am

I'm travelling the following on friday and saturday all with BD and was wondering what lounges I can pay to use as I am travelling alone.
FRI LHR-MAN 1520
SAT MAN-EDI 0700

I wouldn't mind visting the lounge for the LHR departure and EDI arrival as I am not getting collected until 1030. Any advice would be great. I hold a blue diamond membership card and have an economy fare on both flights if this helps.

Heres some good info for you at LHR, but if you go to BAA.com you will get the same info there as well
Where does the time go???

Unless BMI let you pay to enter the diamond club lounge, then theres no lounge in T1 domestic for you to use at LHR. At MAN same again, no lounge to pay for in T3. And I have no idea of an arrivals lounge in EDI but I would be very suprised if there was one.

Only BD, BA and EI have lounges in the T1 domestic pier at LHR, there are no lounges you can pay to get into but the BD lounge is a Diamond Club lounge and not a Business class lounge so you might get in there with your BD blue status Diamond Club card, really not sure what the requirements are!

If you can get in i'm sure the same applies at MAN, there is a lounge next to the gates they use for the LHR flight but all BMI mainline, long haul, regional and BMIbaby flights got from the same area now so the lounge wont be far away. But as i say, not sure what the blue status entitles you too.

As a Diamond Club blue member, and travelling on an economy fare, you will not be eligible for complimentary lounge access.

Absolutely nothing I'm afraid. I don't know of ANY airline that allows pax on the entry tier of their FFP lounge access.

The guys are right. In Terminal 3 at MAN there are only the BD and BA lounges - neither of which you can pay for access to.

Travelling with BD as a blue card holder definately will not get you into the lounge.
