I was a huge fan of Lego when i was a little kid! Man, if I could've chosen any set as a child it would've been this one!

Nice picture!

Technically, the A380 program is early--Airbus never specified if it was lego plane or not.

If the LEGO model can carry 550 passenger 8000nm, then Airbus should outsource construction to the LEGO folks.

Hope they used some sort of glue to hold it all together, it would suck if it started to fall apart from the weight.

Indeed it was, but I can't seem to find it anywhere... deleted perhaps?
Don't expect to see me around that much (if at all) -- the contact link should still work, though.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing them.

Do they have more aircraft models on display?

I went there years ago, and all I can remember are lots and lots of Lego trains!

Go for it. Your models look better than the ones created by the Lego company.  Just don't hijack the thread.

BTW Legoguy, I thought at first this thread was started by you.

So does this mean that EADS, with the help of LEGO has beaten Boeing to producing the worlds first all composite passenger plane?

Yeah, lego seems to look better when it gets bigger.

I'd love to see them try and fit 500 lego people inside that SQ A380... I imagine it would be quite difficult.  Wink

I think it is neat to see someone at home build LEGO planes beside Legoland. I went with my family to 2 Legoland (Carlsbad, California and Gunzburg, Germany) and there is an airport at Legoland in Gunzburg. You should go Legoland to see for yourself. There are alot of trains and cities (buildings) other than airport.

I´ve been to Legoland Billund on 31Jul, so about five weeks to early to see this beauty.  Sad
But nevertheless it was a great day. The modell of the Billund airport is just fantastic, with planes taxiing along the runway, cars and busses driving around the apron and everything with sound. They´ve even built an aircraft museum with a Concorde and several other planes.  bigthumbsup
And besides the aviation stuff the whole park is just great. Unbelievable what they do with those little Lego bricks.

I must admit I have been to Legoland Windsor and I was disappointed! There was no lego airport which was the main reason for going. And we didn't get to spend the whole day there so sort of a waste of money. There have been afew lego threads in the non aviation section but theyre all old.
