No surprise here, HUB to HUB flights are always huge. NW and KLM from DTW to AMS have 5 or 6 flights daily.

That's going to be a lot of capacity this winter between ORD and FRA. LH is going to run 2 daily ORD-FRA again this winter (one A346 and one A343) after running only 1 last year. The ORD-FRA market can definitely handle it though.

These flights always appear to be packed to the gills so it makes sense.

Yay! More UA 744s at ORD. Not that we have a shortage of them, just nice to have them. Is LH still looking to bring the A380 to ORD?

This summer only 4 daily DTW-AMS. Last year it was 5 daily in summer (4x A333 and 1x DC10). Winter is only 3 daily.

UA needs those seats to FRA to feed the codeshares to the smaller cities in Europe, particularly since passengers will want to bypass LHR if that is not their final destination because of the security hassles.

I wish there was LAX or DEN-FRA on UA metal.

...I ask you, why does AA only operate a lousy 763 from ORD daily. Barely a 772 going out of DFW daily also. That DFW flight drives a ton of Ft Hood guys over the pond... confused

Regards.

Darn, I flew the 777 in March to FRA. Never been on a 744 though and would have loved the chance! That flight was packed and full of energy. Felt like a show not a flight!

AA has no feed beyond Germany on OW partner. Compare to their LHR service and the solution becomes clearer. AA has decent service to Germany DFW-FRA (777) FRA-ORD (763). For USA carriers, I think only DL and UA have more.
