G4 To Canada

Fri Sep 08, 2006 4:59 pm

Is there any chance G4 will fly from Canadian regional airports to LAS, SFB and PIE? Didn't they apply for permission to do so?

I'm sure they could transfer their formula to some of Canada's smaller airports

What do you mean by "smaller regional airports?" The added cost of air travel in Canada and cross border travel to the U.S. (U.S. fees) mean that a LAS-Saskatoon flight, for example, becomes a lot more expensive than a LAS-Minot type flight. There could be a market from larger airports (Winnipeg, for example), but if there is one I would expect it to be met by WestJet or Air Canada, both of which have increased capacity to Las Vegas over the past year.

Allegiant already holds blanket authority to operate US-Canada flights.

Whether they would start them or not will depend upon route analysis. If the numbers make sense I would not be surprised. But the additional costs would need to be part of that analysis.

SkyTaxi: and its Alligiant Airlines and I'm am guessing that is who he is asking will fly to Canada, not Guizou. Call it a hunch!
