Airlines Attitudes On Soon To Be Retired Jets.

Thu Jun 29, 2000 1:19 pm

I have noticed this in 2 airlines in particular. When I was leaving hawaii I was looking at AA's DC-10's and Deltas L1011s and they look like they have been neglected, especially AA's planes. Is this cause of the age of the aircraft that they look bad or just the company not caring about them anymore?

I'm headed to Hawaii on Tuesday on one of Delta's last L-1011 aircraft--can anyone comment upon the quality of the interiors, spaciousness, configuration (ie, is it 2-5-2?), etc?
