Colgan Vs RegionsAir

Sat Sep 16, 2006 11:07 am

Colgan has asked the DOT to revoke the award of BFD and JHW EAS service to Regions because Regions has been dilatory in commencing service. Much like Regions difficulty starting up West Virginia service, their planned date to take over Colgan's service has slipped from August 28th, to October 1st, and now, apparently, to October 15th.

Colgan must be feeling victimized again. They had a terrible time wresting these routes away from Air Midwest (which applied to dump them and then reneged after they were awarded to Colgan). Now they can't get rid of them fast enough, so they want to keep them.

The EAS program shows over and over the problem of dealing with the lowest bidder.
