Where did this takeoff from? Landings? Lake in the Hills? Schaumburg 06C?

also for not landing on a house or something, they did the best job possible landing in a tree, nice job  bigthumbsup

The place where it crashed is not on that map. It's west of there, near Old Willow & Wheeling (if you know the area).
I can't decide whether I miss the tulip or the bowling shoe more

I fly out of Palwaukee regularly as it is the airport my flight club is based out of. It is a great airport for GA and corporate aircraft though other than the highway a few miles to the East there is practically no place to put down an aircraft immediately after takeoff in the even of an engine loss.
The only way to fly is by the seat of your pants...
